Round 2 and the second race at the Red Bull Ring gave us another great race, not as incident packed as race 1, but still some great racing. The battle in the midfield was hectic as expected.

You can see the points for Fantasy GP below. Massive bonus points for Perez with his final result putting him 11 places from his starting position. Stroll also did well and together they made Racing Point the second best scoring team after Mercedes’ 1-2 result. Norris, Raikkonen, Grosjean and Giovinazzi also bagged some solid bonus points too.

We only had the one Safety Car today and Fastest Lap when to Carlos Sainz following his late pit stop for fresh soft tyres.

Red Bull faired much better than in race 1, but ultimately lacked the pace to challenge Mercedes. Haas had another poor day at the track, but in Fantasy GP terms, but they were only behind McLaren and Alfa Romeo in the midfield – not bad considering they are one of the cheaper teams. It was a shocker for the other bargain team though, Williams scored a 1-2 for being last, a 16-17 rather and came away with a solitary point in Fantasy GP.

Ferrari’s day was, quite literally a car crash with Vettel and Leclerc coming together and leaving the red team with zero points. Vettel got his 5pts qualifying bonus, but only a handful of the 10,000+ players in Fantasy GP have him in their team. For Ferrari, race 2 was a race to forget.

Fantasy GP points will be finalised once the stewards investigation into the Stroll / Ricciardo incident has been decided.
