Podium or Pits: Styria

Date published: 13th July 2020

Another fine afternoon of racing at the Red Bull Ring with Lewis Hamilton getting back on top leaving Bottas for P2 ahead of Max(imum he could do) Verstappen in P3.

We had another thriller of a final lap from Lando Norris as the McLaren continues to look strong in 2020. As for Ferrari though, the lucky P2 in round 1 is quickly forgotten with neither red car finishing the race after they came together with a clumsy move from Leclerc leaving both cars damage. Oh dear.

In the Pits: Ferrari

A double DNF in Styria, unable to assess their upgrades and another zero points weekend for Sebastian Vettel – it really isn’t looking good for the red team and their price has gone down significantly. Reckon they’ll bounce back in Hungary? Grab them while they’re cheap(er) – but I would do so with caution!

On the Podium: The cars and drivers in Pink

Perez was Imperezive on Sunday and should have taken P4 if it wasn’t for a half-hearted failed effort to overtake Albon in the closing laps. That aside, he drove a great race, as did Stroll and the Pink Mercedes’ look quick enough for podiums soon enough, they’ve gone up in value!

In the Pits: Haas

We cannot begin to imagine how many naughty words Gunther Steiner is using in the race debriefs, he’s probably inventing new ones. He can’t direct it at his pair of drivers though, they did what they could do, but the car was clearly nowhere in terms of performance around the Red Bull Ring. The car is now the cheapest in Fantasy GP, cheaper than a Williams. This could change if their run of Bonus points continues though…

On the Podium

Alex Albon has had a great start to 2020 – he could have won or grabbed P2 for sure in race 1 and for race 2 he had 4th all wrapped up, even with a charging Perez. He was a bargain at $14.5m at the start of the season and has now gone up a little in value, but we’re expecting this to increase further if the form continues.
