The start of the race saw plenty of chaos and cars in the walls, but after that it was a fairly standard Russian Grand Prix. A bit of overtaking, but far from a classic race. We did have a different winner though, with Bottas taking P1 and a tiny bit out of Hamilton’s championship lead, finishing 3rd behind Verstappen, impressive as ever with P2.

We had 2 Safety Car periods during the race, one full safety car following the start melee and another short Virtual Safety Car when some ballards were replaced. Fastest lap went to Bottas and of course, Hamilton was on pole. For the bonus prediction we asked how many cars will finish, we had 18, so the answer was c) 18 or more.

A shocker for McLaren, Leclerc made Ferrari look good, Renault were the best of the rest after Mercedes and Red Bull and AlphaTauri did really well again. Perez proved his worth finishing P4 whole Stroll failed to finish the first lap.

There were plenty of big bonus points today, Ocon and Magnussen pocketed 18 each, Albon and Raikkonen each got 15 and there were 12 bonus points for Leclerc and Latifi.
