After a couple of weeks of blankets being lifted, flashing lights and corporate speak, we finally have an idea of what the grid of cars for 2023 will look like. Many are simply developments of previous liveries with a couple of fresher looking schemes. Oh and lots of black, with teams liking the weight saving benefit of bare carbon. None more than Mercedes though, who really have gone the whole way with their striking black on black design.

Anyway, how the cars look is only a tiny thing – it’s how well they go on track that really matters. Testing begins in Bahrain on 23rd February, for 3 days – only a week or so before the first race weekend of the season.
