Well, if we consider that it was such a mixed-up grid, with many drivers taking mechanical penalties, it was eventually a very predictable outcome. Max Verstappen and his monster of a Red Bull ripped through the field, from 13th to 1st in 18 laps and strolled to victory in the beautiful surroundings of the Spa circuit. Perez made it a dominant one-two for Red Bull, with Sainz holding on to the third podium place, despite a late push from a superb Russell.

In Fantasy GP terms, we had a podium comprising of Verstappen, Perez and Sainz with the fastest lap unsurprisingly going to Verstappen too (with a typically comical late effort from Leclerc’s Ferrari). There was just one safety car period, coming early on after Hamilton’s clumsy collision with Alonso. Sainz took Saturday’s points for pole after the various penalties shook out and the answer to the bonus question was C (3rd or lower) following Verstappen’s dominant win.

In what has turned out to be Verstappen’s weekend, he took a massive bonus haul of 36 points, but honourable mentions should go to Gasly (30 points), Leclerc (24), Ocon (24) and Tsunoda (21). We expect some Fantasy players will have had a lovely weekend!
