Tsunoda in Red Bull for Japan onwards
All players have unlimited free changes to enable reworking of team driver line ups.
Date published: 27th March 2025
It has been confirmed this week that Yuki Tsunoda is to take the 2nd seat at Red Bull Racing alongside Max Verstappen for the Japanese Grand Prix, onwards.
Liam Lawson is take the vacant seat at the junior team, Racing Bulls alongside promising rookie, Isack Hadjar.
It’s yet another controversial move for the fizzy drinks racing team management, but it will be fascinating to see how it plays out – both Lawson in the Racing Bull (is it a better car?) and then Tsunoda alongside Verstappen (can he get close?)
In terms of Fantasy GP, here’s how it works:
- if you had Lawson (i.e. the 2nd seat at Red Bull) you will now have Tsunoda.
- if you had Tsunoda (i.e. the 1st seat at Racing Bulls) you will now have Lawson.
The game is unlocked until qualifying for Japan, so all players have plenty of time to rework teams. Also because of this unusual and high profile switch around of drivers, Fantasy GP is giving all players unlimited free team changes for another race.
(usually, when the game would lock for round 3 (Japan in 2025) any changes made since round 2 would be taken from your allocation, but given the driver swap, all players have unlimited free changes for another race)
Good luck for Japan!
