What a race in Brazil! A Mercedes one-two, Russell took his first career win from 7-time World Champion, Hamilton. However, this only tells part of the story. Early collisions between Hamilton/Verstappen and Norris/Leclerc put the race order into disarray and led to incredible comeback drives and mid-order madness. Elsewhere, Ricciardo brought Magnusson’s wonderful weekend to an abrupt end on the first lap and Verstappen’s radio message at the end will leave Perez in no doubt about where he stands in the team.

In Fantasy GP terms, Russell the points for the “FGP pole” after his fantastic Sprint race victory on Saturday. In Sunday’s race, there was a Russell, Hamilton and Sainz podium. There were 2 safety car periods following Ricciardo’s error and Norris’ retirement (with a VSC turning to a SC in one continuous period). For the bonus point question, Aston Martin scored 1 point with Stroll, so the correct answer was B (1 to 2 points). Regarding bonus points hauls, Alonso topped the charts with a whopping 36 with his 12-place gain, Ocon a fairly distant second with 24, leaving Alpine with a brilliant 34 FGP teams points after an awful debacle in Saturday’s sprint.
