Results are in for the British GP

A British summer does have its advantages, doesn’t it? A combination of rain, sunshine and seemingly twenty different strategies resulted in an eventful race at Silverstone, which was eventually won by Norris, who was almost faultless throughout a drama-packed day, after Piastri shot himself in the foot with a bizarre braking incident behind the safety car, much to the ire of a spinning Verstappen.
While a British winner is normally the highlight for Silverstone, the story of the day was partially stolen by a fantastic drive from Hulkenberg, who started 19th and eventually took the third-step on the podium. The rookies took a pounding with the exception of Bearman, who couldn’t quite nick a point following an excellent drive.
In Fantasy GP terms, we had a podium of Norris, Piastri and the incredible Hulkenburg. It was Verstappen that triumphed in qualifying on Saturday with Piastri grabbing Sunday’s fastest lap. There were many safety car incidents, I believe four separate ones in total (2 VSC and 2 full safety cars), meaning 4+ was the correct prediction.
Full points for Silverstone are below. We’ll see you after the three-week summer break in Spa, Belgium. Enjoy the break, I think we have a very exciting second half of the season to come.
