Results are in for Monaco

If you are going to introduce a “gimmick” in F1, then perhaps Monaco is arguably the place to do it, and the two mandatory pitstops was certainly worth a try? Did it work? We’re torn – it took away the focus from the procession but, at the same time, it put it back on the chess-like tactics employed by some teams. Bernie, have you still got those sprinklers you talked about?

In Fantasy GP terms, Norris took top spot on the podium to accompany Saturday’s pole. Leclerc came second, with Piastri finishing the top three. We had one VSC for Bortoleto’s immature defence from his fellow rookie, Antonelli, in the early laps, though how they avoided a second from Gasly’s idiotic driving when pretty much missing a wheel, is beyond us. Norris grabbed the fastest lap award on his final lap (setting a new lap record, apparently), which was very little consolation for a torrid weekend for the Mercedes outfit.

A breakdown of the full points in Monaco are below (please ignore the fastest lap error). We’ll see you next week, when it is the last leg of the latest triple header in Barcelona for the Spanish GP.
