As if we hadn’t waited long enough for some F1 racing, an abandoned start gave us another agonising few minutes before it was time for ‘lights out and away we go’ in Bahrain and for the 2021 season.

It was definitely worth the wait though. A fantastic race that kept us on the edge our seats until the final corner of the final lap. With Perez’s formation lap nightmare, he started P20 and that gave him a haul of bonus points, finishing 5th and taking 45 bonus points for making his way through the field. He scored more points than any other driver with a total score of 55.

In terms of results, we had a podium of Hamilton, Verstappen and Bottas. Bottas took the fastest lap and of course Verstappen had Pole Position. We had a total of 2 Safety Car periods, one SC and one VSC during the opening laps. Our bonus question was about Vettel’s finishing position, which ultimately was 15th and therefore option C, “9th or lower” was correct.
