Well, time changes things and it now often throws up an eventful spectacle, evidenced by Saturday’s crazy qualifying session alone, with a record six red flags. Sunday’s race was far less exciting, and Norris and his McLaren pit crew may live to regret their failure to pick up more points following an unusual disaster from Piastri on lap one.

In Fantasy GP terms, Verstappen produced a masterclass, leading the race from the first to last lap. A hugely impressive Russell took a distant second despite illness, whilst Williams and Sainz will be over the moon with their brilliant podium following the Spaniard’s tough debut year following his move from Ferrari. Verstappen took a late pole on Saturday and there was only one safety car following Piastri’s early incident. We noted our usual criticism for an “easy” bonus question, but the answer ended as B, as Norris picked up the team’s sole 6 points.
