It is safe to say that this race will not go down as a classic season opener. Red Bull’s form was ominous, with Verstappen and Perez strolling to a dominant one-two in Bahrain. However, there were highlights elsewhere in the field, no more than a 41-year-old Alonso, who has seemingly made his first good career move in a while!

Elsewhere, Leclerc will be frustrated to retire from 3^rd in the Ferrari, while McLaren will have a lot to think about after just one race. Ocon played penalty point bingo before retiring in a comedy race for him.

In Fantasy GP terms, Verstappen clinched a straightforward pole on Saturday. There was a Verstappen, Perez and Alonso podium in Sunday’s race. There was one safety car period following Leclerc’s retirement. For the bonus point question, Hulkenberg finished 16th, so the correct answer was C (14^th or worse). Regarding bonus points hauls, Gasly stormed the show with 27 following a dismal Sunday, finishing 12 ahead of the next best, William’s Albon.
