Magnussen in at Haas for 2022

Date published: 9th March 2022

Haas have made the right decision ahead of the 2022 season, in cutting all ties with their Russian sponsorship and now their Russian driver too.

With Mazepin gone, the team should have less damage related costs and hopefully some better results with none other than Kevin Magnussen taking up the spare seat on the grid. Magnussen last drove for Haas a couple of years ago and is a proven talent. Let’s just hope that the 2022 car is able to give him the opportunity he deserves.

What this means for Fantasy GP – with driver and car prices already set and team selection already open, this late change of line up means that anyone who had Mazepin, now has Magnussen. It also means that Magnussen is a potential bargain at $2million – one of the cheapest drivers in the history of Fantasy GP.

Of course this is a result of Magnussen inheriting the place of Mazepin who was barely worth the pitiful $2million price tag.

In short, there’s great potential for Magnussen’s price to go up if he delivers the results he’s capable of. Worth considering when picking your drivers for Bahrain!
