Australian Fantasy GP Results

The results form the Fantasy Grand Prix of Australia

Date published: 25th March 2018

The Australian Grand Prix was a good race and sets up for a great season ahead. We had some incidents, some heartbreak and the car and driver most people predicted to win didn’t take victory.

With Haas being such a cheap team in Fantasy GP, many players were excited to see Grosjean and Magnussen running high up the order, but within a lap of each other both cars retired leaving the American team rightly distraught. Many Fantasy GP players felt the same.

This proves why Fantasy GP is so much fun. You may not have been too fussed about the two Haas cars retiring, but when they form part of you own Fantasy F1 team, it’s a different story!

Important Note – we’re keeping the game locked for an extended period following Australia while we peform upgrades before the next race. See the full message here. New players wanting to join or existing players wanting to join leagues or make changes will have to wait until Thursday 29th March – see all the details here.

Stats will be available from Monday (PRO players only remember!)

Here’s how the points worked out for Fantasy GP in Australia:

  • Pole: Hamilton
  • Fastest lap: Ricciardo
  • Podium: Vettel, Hamilton, Raikkonen
  • Safety Car Periods: 1 (the VSC became and SC, counts as 1 Safety Car Period)
  • How many finishers: 15, so the answer was between 11 and 16 (the middle of the 3 choices)
